Khun is a traditional hand-woven textile which traces its origin to the Bagalkot district of Karnataka. It is a lightweight fabric known for its dainty and elegant motifs and stunning contrast borders. It is usually used for blouses. It is also used for Indo-Western and ethnic outfits. It is a thick fabric but has a versatile appeal. Rooted in tradition, it is getting a modern revival and looks beautiful in the form of Indian traditional as well as Indo-Western outfits. Khun fabric is popular in Karnataka and Maharashtra.
